
Organized and sponsored by regional companies dedicated to supporting and enhancing of the local Oil & Gas Industry, the West Virginia Oil and Gas Expo allows businesses and business owners in the area a chance to meet with other business owners and key decision-makers in the industry.
Expo Founder (and President of Asayo Creative) Damian Ferek, saw the opportunity to bring together the members of this expanding local industry in a West Virginia-specific event.
Solution:
With cohost WVONGA, Asayo Creative developed the Expo's marketing strategy, print materials, promotional materials and advertisements, along with the Expo's 108-page event directory and website. Once the initial strategy for attracting major sponsors had been set in motion and the venue for the event had been decided, Asayo Creative launched the Expo Website, allowing businesses to register online to exhibit at the event. Attractive sponsorship opportunities helped fill sponsor spots quickly.
As registered exhibitors quickly sold out the venue, Asayo compiled Marketing Kits, press releases and advertisements to spread the word and bring not only vendors, but regular attendees to the event. As the first ever WV Oil and Gas Expo drew to a close, the one-day event saw a total of 246 exhibiting businesses and over 1,500 attendees fill Mylan Park Expo Center for the event. The 2nd annual event is scheduled for October 3, 2012.
